Learn to craft a simple Ash shelf and securely mount it on a wall. Whether you're a DIY enthusiast or a beginner, this event is designed for everyone to develop skills, understand good practices, and learn safe tool use.

Experienced instructors will guide you through the process, teaching essential skills and techniques, ensuring you leave feeling confident. You'll also take home a finished Ash shelf.

Day One Covers:

1. Measure and Marking.

2. Health and Safety.

3. Chopsaw Use.

4. Drills, Drivers, and Bits.

5. Use of Sanders

6. Glue and Clamps.

Day Two Covers:

1. Plugs.

2. Chisel use for pairing.

3. Creating chamfers.

4. Finishes.

5. Different types of wall material.

6. Fixings.

7. Levels.

8. Best practices for installation.

All materials, tools, and Personal Protective Equipment will be provided.

Additional Information:

• We prioritize creating a supportive environment for women and LGBTQIA communities not centered within construction or craft industries.

• 7 to 8 available spaces; 6 are paid, and 1 or 2 are free for local organizations supporting marginalized identities.

• The workshop is in Bristol near Temple Meads; the address will be provided upon booking.

• Winter workshops are warm, with a log burner, kitchen, and hot drink facilities. No lunch is provided, but tea/coffee and snacks are.

• The ground-floor workshop has no steps. The toilet isn't wheelchair accessible, but we can accommodate some needs.

• Dress warmly in layers; wear clothes that can get dirty. Comfortable, hardy shoes are recommended.

• Participants must sign a liability disclaimer. We prioritize your safety and well-being.

• Please inform us of dietary requirements or health needs in advance, so we can do our best to cater to you.
